Caption:   The Bridge Tavern Wicklow
The Bridge Tavern sits alongside the Vartry river and the arched Stone Bridge in the heart of Wicklow Town.
It has been restored by Gerry Byrne during the last two years and has been returned to its rightful standing as the primary Bar & Restaurant in Co. Wicklow.
Gerry now also offers top class food in both open air and bistro dining surroundings. Ensuite accommodation is also available.
Dating back to 1702, The Bridge Tavern is steeped in history, not least by being the birthplace of Captain Robert Halpin, famous for laying the first cross Atlantic cable. A piece of this actual cable is on display in our Snug Bar.
Come celebrate Christmas with us at The Bridge Tavern. Whether its a family gathering, a work outing or a group of friends, we have Christmas Menus to suit all tastes and budgets. Our festive A la Carte menu will also be available. We are now taking bookings for the Christmas period. Nightly music also provided. Accomodation also available.
The Bridge Tavern has always offered hospitality to guests, so nothing has changed! It opened its doors again fully restored to the highest standards in May 2012.
